Free online listing for artists in the rural area

My name is Ashley Weese and I am contacting you on behalf of the Frontenac Arch Biosphere Reserve. Our organizations work is dedicated towards the four pillars of sustainability: healthy environment, culture, society and economy; and we do this by networking local organizations and groups.

Currently our team is working on creating an on line database and map of Artists/Artisans within the biosphere area. This information would be used by individuals wanting to know what types of Artists/Artisans are in the region and where. There is no fee and your business would be included in the local Artists/Artisans section of our website for users to access.

If you are interested, please verify send your information and answers to questions.

Are you interested in being on our list?
Are you still working in the business?
What is your medium?
What organizations are you affiliated with?
Do you have a business and if so what is the name of it?
Do you have a website?
Do you display your work at any exhibits or shows? If so which ones?

December Roundtable Session

December is a fun social meeting, but I'm sure there will still be some business discussions happening! Meet at Betty Jane Ware from Goddess Blends house (out HWY 15 - email Lindsey or Betty Jane for address) at 11 am. This meeting will probably go to at least 1 instead of 12 as usual. Bring a home gift for the gift exchange - it can be made by you (perhaps a sampling of your work) or someone else. And bring a nut-free lunch item for sharing too.

See you there!

Member to Member Notices

I've started to have a few requests about how members can send notices out to the group. After giving this some thought, I decided that it is probably not a great idea to allow all members access to send notices as we may all get swamped with emails - although they all maybe valuable information, I don't want to turn anyone off. So here's the solution. You can provide comments to this post. This where members can post member to member information such as notices, call for artists, upcoming shows, etc.

If you would like to add events to the calendar, send them to me and I'll post them. If it gets to be to be too many for me to post, I'll look for volunteers to help with this.

thanks.
Lindsey

A Meeting and a Workshop

Today is the meeting for the KTOWN Etsians. For those artists selling on Etsy we are meeting today at 10am at NGB Studios to talk about running a collective event.

And...

On November 30 at 1pm I'm hosting (Lindsey Fair) a Blogging for Artists Workshop. It's $20, registration required. http://www.lindseyfair.ca/index.cfm?page=workshops
