The Bicentennial of the War of 1812

The Bicentennial of the War of 1812 is fast approaching, and the St. Lawrence War of 1812 Bicentennial Alliance is committed to promoting this historic anniversary with a number of events and programs. As a board member of the Alliance, I am interested in talking to the local arts and museum community to share what events the Alliance has planned thus far and brainstorming collaborations and partnerships for activities for 2012-2014.

I invite you to join me and my colleagues for a discussion that will include a brief overview of the Alliance and what activities are already planned, some ideas for funding, and a brainstorming session to make the visual and performing arts a vital and important component of this monumental anniversary.

Thursday, January 21, 10:30am

4th floor of the British Whig Building, 310 King St. East (this location may change depending on number of people attending)

Please confirm your attendance by Friday, January 8th. Please pass this along to anyone you think would be interested.
